This assignment is related to a topic for which you can find background information in the section "Are you using your medicine correctly?" of the "Basic information on medicine" page.

Learning goal

The goal of this assignment is to learn how to interpret the instructions for the use of medicines.

Progress of the assignment

Alternative 1. Give the pupils assignment handouts containing various instructions for use of medicines and questions related to the interpretation of these instructions. The pupils first fill in the assignment handout alone, in groups, or in pairs. Each pupil can fill in all instructions for use, or the instructions can be divided between the groups. Finally, go through the instructions for use together.

Alternative 2. The teacher picks a few examples from the instructions for use. The instructions are discussed in small groups.
